Let's face it, everyone passes notes in class. Whether it's asking a stranger for a pencil or those cute (albeit elementary school-esuqe) 'do you love me?' notes, jot'em down here.
Nowadays, it seems like everyone has a cell phone. Well, if you've got one, and you want to use it (you're paying that much for it, you might as well) post if up here for people to call you.
Myspace, Facebook, Twitter... I don't know, whatever you use. If your character uses more than one, please just put them all in the same thread- you don't need three threads for the same information.
The Harbin school grounds are extremely lovely- the large front lawn, the back courtyard filled with famous statues, the tranquil pond, even a hedge maze. It's a lovely place to sit and collect your thoughts, your muse... Or throw a Frisbee.
The main hall is probably the most formidable room in the entire Academy- a large room with it's walls and ceilings painted marvelously and a thirty-foot ceiling, a sweeping staircase for those who need to get to the second floor and a huge stained glass window on the wall opposite the entrance to let in sunlight to light up the room along with the diamond chandelier suspended from the ceiling. This is also where all the dances are held.
Whether you major in art, music, dance, theatre or dance, you are required to take classes- after all, that's why you are here! Every student must take three classes relating to their major, and two 'electives-' for freshmen and sophomores, these electives must be 'core' classes, that is, math, science, English or history.
This isn't Hogwarts, that's for sure- the eating hall is just your average cafeteria, with many circular tables placed around the room and a few places to get food- prices are included with tuition, so eat as much as you like!
this is where all major performances take place- the school play, band concerts, or that ballet the Harbin dance troupe has slaved over the semester, in the end they'll all be showcased in Harbin's state-of-the-art theatre. It has the structure and visual appearance of a ninteenth century theatre, but through the years it has been updated with the latest technology.
two separate buildings stand on Harbin's ground- the east wing, for the girls, and the west wing, for the boys. These buildings are where the students sleep, do homework, and practice. Students are not allowed in their opposite wing past nine o'clock.
Behind the West Wing is the Teacher's residences- A significantly smaller building, but much more lavish, giving each teacher an apartment-like suite of their own.
There are a lot of really nice ones in the city. Some by the water, some filled with vendors and street musicians and art... And of course, some with nothing but litter and the homeless sleeping under benches. Hey, it's all a matter of taste.
Hey, so what if you're not old enough to go to most of these? There's nowhere a well-crafted fake ID can't get you, and you're an artist, for god's sake.
Leaving town? Are you going home, running away, visiting your grandma? Whatever it is, if you're ready to part with a rather large chunk of money, the train station is the way to go.
Maybe you need some privacy. Or conversely, the company of the opposite gender. Either way, a cheap hotel is your best bet if you can get past the night guards without getting caught.
Let's face it. Sometimes... you just need a bit of time away. Well, this is the place to go- whether it's out of state or out of hemisphere, your vacation (or whatever) is just a post away.
'Cause it's the pelvic thrust... Yeah, yeah. For all of your past or future needs. Be sure to state which way you're going at the top of your thread, about what year it is, how old the characters are, etc, etc. It's pretty helpful.
So, I hear you want to be a pirate. No? Well... You can play it out here regardless. You can make your character do abolutely anything in here and not have to worry about it affecting their in-character lives. It's for those 'What ifs' floating about in our minds.
Some scenes just aren't as long as you need them to be, I know. That's why this board comes in handy- this is the only play where you are allowed to post one-liners or any other form of short post. It's doesn't quite qualify as being active, but it's great for a fight scene or something.
Sometimes something really important happens when no one's around. Or maybe you've got a part in your character's history that you'd really like to play out- either way, post your threads here. They're not meant to be replied to, just here for reference.
well, sometimes it just needs to happen- random, general chat. Whether it's a rant about your cat or just a friendly conversation about whatever television show's cool this week... Well, I'm sure someone's talking about it. Somewhere.
In character, out of character... everyone loves spamtastic games, even if to just up your post count. Please don't just post in these, though- actually roleplaying's fun, too.
