BASICS
HELD OUR BREATH FOR TOO LONG,
NOW WE'RE HALF SICK ABOUT IT
I'm a beautiful man, who has eyes for both men and ladies. I was born on the 25th of October , making me seventy four. I'm the old fine arts teacher, and they call me Mr.Fanning. Of course, I tell them that they can call me anything they seem fit, as long as it doesn't sound too stupid. Oh, and by the way, I'm the advisor for the chess club.

AND ALTHOUGH PRATFALLS CAN BE FUN
ENCORES CAN BE FATAL
I guess I should start off by telling you my personality, since we are going to be spending the whole year together. First off I'm a very funny man. I love joking with students and pulling pranks on them. Since I've been here at Harbin for fourty five years, I can get away with some of the practical jokes I play on my students. Why just last April Fool's day, I hired an actress to play as one of those old nannies from my time, and had her teach my class. I allowed her to use any words that she wanted, and she actually broke three of my meter sticks...Anyways, while she was teaching my completely stunned class, I was hiding in one of the offices, and watching the whole thing on the security camera in the class...I was laughing the whole time...And I swear, I was crying from laughter.
Not only do I like playing jokes on my students. I kind of like teasing them too. Especially about their boyfriends and girlfriends. I just love grinning and winking at a couple as I walk pass by them, which would usually make their faces turn as red as a tomato...Oh, and I'm a huge gossiper, but let's not get there. Heh.
Hmm, enough about the happy me. Let's talk about when I'm serious. Well, the only time I am serious is when I'm painting. Whenever I start a painting, I will not stop until I'm finished. Oh, and if the students get really loud. I guess loud noise is a pet peeve.
Now let's talk about my life! I was born in Venice Italy. My father was an American who moved to Italy when he was two. If it wasn't for his last name, you would probably think he was pure Italian. Anyways, he was a gondolier, and my mother, and she's 100% Italian, was a piano teacher. Because the two of them had flexible schedules, I always got to see them, which was really nice.
When I was about six, my parents brought me to the Gallerie dell'Accademia. I immedeatly fell in love with the paintings. They were beautiful. The colours, the brush strokes...Everything. I loved it all. I knew then and there I wanted to become an artist when I grew up. I told my parents about this, but they weren't to happy. They knew that being an artist was not easy. It was next to impossible for me to become the next Van Gogh.
But I kept on bugging them about it, and finally they agreed. They enrolled me in a drawing class, and I was the happiest boy on earth. Of course, becoming an artist is not easy. You see, I was not talented. I remember giving up many times, but taking up a pencil and a blank piece of paper to work again.
When I was twelve, I entered my first art contest. Unfortunately, I didn't win. I didn't think much of it, since it was my first contest...A year later, I entered another contest and won first place. I still have that entry hanging in my house. (It was an acrylic painting of the sea if you wanted to know.)
Winning the contest had to be one of the best things that ever happened to me. Not only did I win a year's worth of art supplies, but Harbin Academy, the school that I'm teaching at right now, gave me a scholarship! I was so happy! So, after some planning with my parents, I moved to Canada to live with my aunt from my mom's side.
Life in Canada wasn't easy, not many people spoke Italian, so I had a a small difficulty communicating with people. It it wasn't for art, I would have moved back. But I learned English quickly, an life at Harbin passed by quickly. I moved onto university, majoring in Visual Arts. By then I had fallen in love with Canada, and I didn't want to leave. So I went and worked at an art gallery in Toronto. I worked there for a while, quite happy with my job.
About a year or two later, I received a call from Harbin Academy. You see, I did very well in High School, and the Academy offered me a job. I quickly accepted. I loved Harbin.
So I took some courses on teaching, and then I went to Harbin.
The end.
Ah, I would have talked about how much I loved it there, but it would probably put you to sleep.
