For Benji's appearance, his personality tends to astound people. Instead of being rough-and-tough, a metal head, or at least a hard rock guitarist, He was rather sweet, maybe even shy, and greatly preferred classical music. Sure, he loved his tattoos, his guitar licks, his rock and roll, all that... But in the end of the day, it was something a little softer, more mellow that he was humming to.
Like right now. He had an Andrew Bird album playing from the ipod dock sitting on his desk, his soon-to-be office in turmoil as he tried to get things set up for the beginning of the school year. It was a half-decently sized office, with a big window looking out into the symphonic band room, wide curving steps dipping down ever four feet or so to the quarter-circle in the back corner, where the pedestal was, where he'd stand... It was weird, to think he was a teacher. He'd always told people he wouldn't do it, he would never do it...
And yet here he was, filing sheet music into folders, softly singing to "Armchairs" as he tapped out the rhythm with a pencil on the filing cabinet, trying to find the trombone part for the Sabre Dance. "God Damn it..." He mumbled to himself, looking under things, around, in the huge stack of papers... Oh well. He'd get to that later. Next week was going to be both exciting and nerve wracking- first day on the job. What if they hated him?
