Jesse was sitting like a statue staring intensely at a smooth bit of water that held no particular interest, besides that it was unaffected by the wind that was blustering through the campus. Unknown to any passers-by he was trying to collect his thoughts, and find the motivation to finish the play he was supposed to have handed in last Friday. He was humming to himself as he perched on a park bench, "Pretend" by All The Right Moves. He would bet anything that he was out of tune and out of key, but he took a quick glance around to ensure no music majors were nearby. He didn't see any.
Frustrated, he shoved the notebook containing the first act of his play into the back pocket of his dark grey skinny jeans. The Blue Jays cap on his head sat jauntily over his brown hair, which was still a little damp from his shower that morning. He was in a lonely mood, not something that happened often for Jesse, who generally prefered solitude. Swinging his backpacks around to his front, he looked into the big pocket to find a bag of Cheetos. He munched on a few, and upon realizing they were quite stale, began to chuck a few to the Mallard ducks that swam about the pond. "There you go little duckie!" he said, overly loudly, not aware that anyone was around to hear him.

Blake sighed as her mind was set on the pond. Her relaxing place. She had her bangs back with a clip and the rest of her hair in a ponytaill. Blake had ipod earphones in her ears, and wore blackshorts and a pink Fall Out boy shirt she had made topped off with a blue and white Harbin academy hooded sweatshirt. Her shoes were black heel-less shoes with a bow tied across the tops of them.
As Blake came to the pond stepping very slow, She spotted a boy sitting on a bench he was on the opposite side of the bench of where she was heading towards. "mind If I sit awhile?" Blake asked her knees leaning against the bench. Her icy blue eyes soon melted into just blue. He was adorable, In a cute way.

"Holy shit!" Jesse just about jumped out of his skin as his peace was broken. It took him a few seconds to realize who it was. "Blake," he breathed. "Pardon my language, you scared me!" Jesse's mind was flashing back to last year, kisses they'd shared, and how he'd suddenly realized she wasn't more than a friend. Nevertheless, she didn't seem upset with him, and she was looking rather pretty that day. He sighed a little at her obvious school spirit, comparing her loyal hoodie to his own androgynous black and white raglan.
"So missy, how was your summer?" He gazed straight into her blue eyes, and he absently ran a hand through his already tousled hair. Standing up, he continued to project a few Cheetos into the pond, before spinning around to return his brown eyes to peer at Blake. "Did you do anything fun?" He continued to question her.

Blake jumper at his cursing. " I didn't mean to scare the crap out of you" Blake said crossing her arms. Blake was surprised that her Ex was here. At her realxing spot. She sighed thinking over and over in her head It's not worth fighting, It's not worth fighting. Instread of still crossing her arms,Blake put her hands in her sweatshirt pocket.
"Suckish...Full of Fishing hunting, Volleyball....dad Blake mumbled Dad under her gritted teeth. She had hated this summer besides the hunting fishing volleyball and travel. " Went to Alaska and back....Thats about it if you leave out the fishing" Blake said taking another sigh, but this one was deeper than the first.

"It's alright, I know it was an accident." Jesse maintained a slightly bothered face, but gave up his show and winked at her, showing that his condescention was only for show. Sensing a little tension in the air, Jesse slung his arm around her shoulder and steered her into a seated position on the bench. He removed his hand from her arm, and let it rest behind her on the back of the bench.
As Blake sighed, Jesse couldn't help but feel a surge of pity for her obvious disdain for her summer. "Well, that's neat," he tried to be positive, hoping it hadn't come out full of sarcasm. "If it makes you feel better, I spent the long, hot days watching 25 years worth of SNL episodes I had on video cassette." He was serious. "Also, I tried to write a novel..." Jesse regretted the last addition. It wasn't exactly something he was proud of, and he wished he could've forgotten to bring it up.
